The distinct sounds of Nu-Agenda are back on the 'City Limits' EP as they return for another release.
A departure from the comfort of 2-Step as we know it, the EP is deceivingly understated. Each track comes across overwhelmingly as a different aspect of the Nu-Agenda personality tied together by the entrancing vocals of Nia on Moving on.
The introspective piano-endowed and decidedly x-rated 'Enigma', or the eerie marching anthem 'Let you know' are contrasted with the outgoing rhythms of 'Moving On' and 'Relaxer'. A set of dark frescos etched into the night. With each track marking another stage in the gradual progression of the Nu-Agenda project.
It's an EP that screams to be listened to on late nights and it's as appropriate being bumped on your car stereo as it is streaming deep into your ear canal.
